If you want to feel a part of our church, it’s important for you to have some point of connection beyond attending our worship services. We design small groups to meet the needs and interests of the people who attend our church. Small groups come in many different shapes and sizes – committees, choirs, a bowling league, an informal breakfast meeting, as well as Bible study and prayer groups. Our goal is to set up a variety of fellowship and study groups so that you may find one that fits your needs. Many of the small groups and the adult classes meet on Sunday mornings between the worship services. For a current list, check our weekly newsletter.
Sunday Afternoon Bible Study
A small group gathers each week at 5:00 p.m. to study a book of the Bible or other topical study. We are starting this fall with a study of the gospel of Mark. Mark paints a portrait of Jesus that is action-packed and designed to answer the question of his disciples: “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!” Everyone is welcome!
Starting September 13 our fall session of Alpha gives everyone the opportunity to explore the meaning of life in a relaxed, friendly setting on Sundays following the worship service. All sessions begin with a free meal, followed by an interesting video on various aspects of the Christian faith, and time to discuss what’s been taught. During the discussion, everyone is welcome to contribute their opinions and no question is considered hostile or too simple. It promises to be a safe and fun environment to enjoy a meal, explore Christianity, and meet other people. Please come and feel free to invite a seeking – perhaps even skeptical – friend to join you. Please contact Rosewood Church for more information.
Want To Grow Deeper In Your Christian Walk?
You might be ready for Discipleship Essentials – A Guide to Building Your Life in Christ. That’s the title of a 26-week course based on a triad model developed by Greg Ogden that will be customized to your schedule. Triads can meet anytime the members of your group are available. We will start new triads for men and women as interest grows. Contact Pastor Howard if you are interested.

Joshua’s men meets once a month with Pastor Jim to develop leadership skills. Legacy is the name of our monthly meeting for men on Sunday afternoons that is designed to help men meet the challenges of life. We are currently using a DVD series titled “Men’s Fraternity: Quest for Authentic Manhood.”

Our Retirees Group meets for breakfast every 2nd and 4th Wednesday mornings of the month at 9:00 a.m. at Hudsonville Grille.
