Adult Discipleship

Small Groups

If you want to feel a part of our church, it’s important for you to have some point of connection beyond attending our worship services. We design small groups to meet the needs and interests of the people who attend our church. Small groups come in many different shapes and sizes – committees, choirs, a bowling league, an informal breakfast meeting, as well as Bible study and prayer groups. Our goal is to set up a variety of fellowship and study groups so that you may find one that fits your needs. Many of the small groups and the adult classes meet on Sunday mornings between the worship services. For a current list, check the Sunday bulletin.

Sunday Afternoon Bible Study

A small group gathers each week at 5:00 p.m. to study a book of the Bible or other topical study. Currently we are using a new DVD small group curriculum by Max Lucado, God’s Story – Your Story – When His Becomes Yours. After a 10 minute video, the group discusses how our lives are part of a larger story that reveals God’s plan and purpose for the whole of his creation. Reading the book is optional. Everyone is welcome!

Want To Grow Deeper In Your Christian Walk?

You might be ready for Discipleship Essentials – A Guide to Building Your Life in Christ. That’s the title of a 26-week course based on a triad model developed by Greg Ogden that will be customized to your schedule. Triads can meet anytime the members of your group are available. We will start new triads for men and women as interest grows. Contact Pastor Howard if you are interested.

Women’s Ministry

Rosewood Women sponsors a variety of Bible Study opportunities and social events throughout the year. Their ministry brings meals to member families when an injury or sickness makes life difficult. We have an active Red Hats who meet for fellowship on a regular basis.

Men’s Ministry

The Men’s Ministry of our church is focused on equipping and nurturing men to cultivate Christ-like leaders for the home, community, and church. One group of men meets for prayer and Bible study early Thursday morning. Many of our men are involved in community service projects through Love In the Name of Christ in Hudsonville. Joshua’s men meets once a month with Pastor Jim to develop leadership skills.

Senior Ministry

We have an active group of seniors who meet for fellowship and mutual support. Our Retirees Group meets for breakfast every 2nd and 4th  Wednesday mornings of the month at 9:00 a.m. at Hudsonville Grille.

Rosewood Bus Cruisin’

We sponsor a variety of bus trips for seniors and others who want to travel for 3-6 days. Call the church office at 669-6690 for information about our next trip.
